Meet Louie Teed, a Hodson Truth & Integrity Scholar
Hodson P.I. is proud to recognize Louie Teed as a recipient of the Hodson Truth & Integrity Scholarship.
Louie will attend Indiana University, where he plans to pursue a pre-law path with the goal of attending the Maurer School of Law. Through service, leadership, athletics, and his own entrepreneurial pursuits, he has developed a strong interest in solving problems, bringing people together, and helping others.
From developing his own tools to serving his local community, Louie has consistently looked for opportunities to turn his ideas into meaningful action. His initiative, character, and commitment to others can be seen in the way he approaches leadership, service, and making a positive impact.
Passion & Purpose
Louie has pursued his interests in law, economics, and problem-solving by looking for ways to make information and opportunities more accessible to others. Last summer, after recognizing how difficult SEC filings can be for everyday investors to understand, he spent six weeks developing the EDGAR Analyzer, a tool that simplifies lengthy filings into more accessible information. He also serves as a peer tutor through the National Honor Society and Math National Honor Society, helping younger students succeed academically.
Integrity & Character
Louie has learned the importance of listening to different perspectives and finding common ground. Through his WayMakers youth group, he has become a mediator during difficult discussions, helping peers better understand one another when disagreements arise. His experiences volunteering in his community have also shaped his view that helping others is not about recognition or hours served, but about the relationships and connections created along the way.
Leadership & Accountability
Louie’s willingness to take initiative began at an early age. At seven, he started “Bug Man® Louie,” a free exterminating service that became a way to help seniors in his Greenwood community after he stepped in to assist an elderly neighbor with a mouse problem. Years later, that same initiative continues through his community involvement, youth tennis instruction, and leadership activities. For Louie, leadership means recognizing where he can help and being willing to act.
Service & Impact
Much of Louie’s service is rooted in his Greenwood, Indiana community. He volunteers at the Saints Francis and Clare food pantry, officiates Special Olympics basketball games, leads Bible studies, and spends Sunday afternoons teaching beginners at local youth tennis clinics. Through these experiences, he has learned to value what each person brings and to create spaces where others feel included, supported, and heard.
The Path Ahead
At Indiana University, Louie plans to build on his interests in law, economics, and advocacy as he prepares for his goal of attending the Maurer School of Law. The initiative and curiosity he has demonstrated throughout his education and community involvement will continue to guide him as he explores how he can use those interests to serve others through a future career in law.
Hodson P.I. is honored to support Louie as he begins this next chapter and proud to welcome him as a Hodson Truth & Integrity Scholar.
