Sydney Murrieta is a Case Manager I on Hodson P.I.’s Heirs-At-Law team. She manages heirs-at-law assignments by conducting detailed research, requesting critical records, contacting involved individuals, and coordinating the notarization of affidavits to help verify a decedent’s next of kin. Throughout each investigation, Sydney provides clients with clear, detailed updates so they always understand the status and progress of their assignment.
Sydney earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Criminology, Law and Society as well as Psychology and Behavioral Sciences from the University of California, Irvine.
Before joining Hodson P.I., Sydney’s experience was primarily customer service-oriented—a background that strengthened her communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. She also brings a unique advantage to her role through her work as an amateur genealogist, which has sharpened her ability to trace family lines and support heirs-at-law investigations.
Outside of work, Sydney supports organizations including the DNA Doe Project and the Innocence Project. She’s also an avid true crime fan and loves genealogy.
